Meet Kara: A Working Musical Theater Actress & Party Princess

At Jersey City Party Characters, we’re lucky to work with performers who don’t just love entertaining children, but are actively living the performing arts lifestyle every day. Meet Kara, one of our talented performers and a true musical theater girl at heart!

Kara is a full-time working musical theater actress with an impressive 10 years of party princess experience. That combination of professional performance experience and years of entertaining children makes her an incredible addition to the JCPC team.

From NYC Auditions to Birthday Parties

Kara knows what it means to build a career as a performer. Alongside her day job, she spends her free time heading into New York City for auditions, continuing to pursue opportunities in musical theater and entertainment.

Her schedule is a true balancing act. Between working, auditioning, rehearsing, performing, and bringing beloved characters to life at children's parties, Kara is constantly finding ways to keep growing as an artist.

And that dedication shows when she performs.

A Decade of Party Princess Magic

With 10 years of experience as a party princess, Kara has spent a huge part of her career making children's birthdays feel magical.

She understands that performing for children requires much more than putting on a costume. It’s about knowing how to enter a room with confidence, connect with different personalities, make shy children feel comfortable, keep energetic groups engaged, and create those little moments that children remember long after their birthday is over.

Her musical theater background brings an extra layer of performance to every character she plays, from storytelling and acting to singing and interactive games.

Sleeping Beauty, Miss Rachel, Elsa, Belle & More!

Kara loves bringing a whole cast of characters to life. Some of her favorite roles include Sleeping Beauty, Miss Rachel, Elsa, and Belle, along with many more of the beloved characters available through Jersey City Party Characters.

Each character gives Kara a different opportunity to use her acting, singing, storytelling, and improvisation skills. Whether she’s stepping into the graceful world of a princess, bringing the energy of Miss Rachel to a children's celebration, or singing beloved songs as Elsa, Kara makes each character feel like her own.

Her extensive experience also means she knows how to adjust her performance to the children in front of her. Some kids want to dance and sing at the top of their lungs. Others need a little encouragement before they jump into the fun. Kara knows how to meet them where they are.

Working on That Fantastic Singing Voice

Kara is also passionate about developing her voice. She’s constantly working on becoming a stronger singer and continuing to refine her vocal abilities as a musical theater performer.

For Kara, performing isn’t something she simply does. It’s something she is always studying, practicing, and improving.

That love of growth is one of the things that makes her such a wonderful performer to have on the JCPC team.

And Then There’s Winnie 🐱

When Kara isn’t working, auditioning, rehearsing, or performing, you can probably find her doing something much less glamorous: loving on her cat, Winnie!

Winnie is a very important part of Kara’s life and, naturally, gets plenty of attention whenever Kara is home.

Because even musical theater actresses need a little downtime, and apparently Winnie is very good at making sure Kara gets it. 😂

Why We Love Having Kara on the JCPC Team

Kara brings together something really special: professional musical theater experience, a decade of children's entertainment experience, and a genuine love for performing.

She knows how to command a stage, but she also knows how to get down on a child's level and make them feel like the star of the party.

Whether she’s performing as Sleeping Beauty, Miss Rachel, Elsa, Belle, or another beloved character, singing with a birthday child, leading an interactive activity, or heading into NYC for her next audition, Kara brings the same dedication and enthusiasm to everything she does.

We’re so excited to have this talented working actress bringing her experience, personality, and incredible singing voice to Jersey City Party Characters!
